PARACETAMOL, ANTI-BIOTICS AND AMERICAN IDOL’S FINAL 2

Just a quick one since I feel like I can’t get my head to focus on a single thing straight, not even on this short post.  Probably and after-effect of too many paracetamols and anti-biotics.  I missed a would-have-been learning gathering last Tuesday as Philippines’ Janette Toral organized an e-Business Meet-up in Cebu.  I bet it went well, and yeah, maybe next time.

Yesterday, wasn’t able to report for work due to fever.  Didn’t even had the strength to go online too.  I just practically slept the whole day but still got to watch AMERICAN IDOL.  I saw the performance night of the Top 3 and basing on the judge’s comments, it was a bit clear that the FINAL TWO of AMERICAN IDOL would be DAVID ARCHULETA and DAVID COOK.  It is just sad that the young David is hounded by controversy due to his dad.  The kid’s got a lot of talent and has got a lot to show the world so I hope he gets the best out of his talent and a f**king great life!  See, Drugs do get to your head.

Making Financial Reports Turn to Gold

You cannot literally make a financial report turn to gold but you can make it be a tool for your company’s gold rush. After the busy season for those in the Accounting Profession, May is then the time to hand-in those reports to external users.

There are two major regulatory agencies which requires the submission of Financial Statements. The first would be the Bureau of Internal Revenue who requires the Financial Statements to be submitted on or before the 15th of April, annually. The second major regulatory agency which needs the Financial Statements is the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Audited Financial Statements are required or used twice in the summer months by the SEC. The first would be on or before the 30th of April (after the Financial Statements have been stamped received by the BIR) and the second is on or before the 30th of May 2008. The second submission requires a format known as General Form for Financial Statements (GFFS). The GFFS is a specifically formated template by the SEC which contains the data from the Annual Audited Financial Statements (AAFS). This is to a requirement for corporations with a gross revenue of at least Five Million Pesos (PHP.5,000,000.00). These Financial Statements are indeed worth in gold judging by their relevance.

Financial statements are relevant not only to the users in the organization but equally more important to entities outside the corporation. These are the regulatory agencies and creditors especially banks who see these financial statements in gold.

Hit me with your best shot was the theme for yesterday’s, May 1st, photo shoot and was my first taste of Portrait Photography.  I would be posting picture of the shoot on my goldendagger.multiply.com account.  This one is the sidelight shot.  We had in tow a charming model who was kind enough to pose while we tried our best shots at Portrait Photography.

Being a newbie, it was more than just a photo session.

This was a post prior to checking back my wordpress blog, which I thought was already deleted in the first place.

A friend, who happens to be a blog enthusiast, hinted a page rank on my site by telling me to check out my Cebu iMaginations.  Surprisingly, I got a PAGE RANK 2 from GOOGLE.

My previous free-hosted blogs all had modest PAGE RANKING.  My first cubicled playground on wordpress got PR2.  My cubicled playground blog on blogger got PR3.  But these two lost their PAGE RANKS now.  The former, having been abandoned after 4 months of activity, went back to zero and the latter too, after a number of attempts at making money online.

As you may have noticed, I have not anymore posted on this Blog for quite sometime already.  The truth is, I have moved to a new blog host which I felt was more suited for what I wanted for my blog.

So if you’d like to join me there, do drop by at my new Cubicled Playground

For quite a number of days, I have tried to solicit for bisayan compound slang which have basically become part of the binisaya conversations.  However, because of limited time, I have so terribly failed in my endeavor and have only scouted a dozen words.

Therefore, I’m once again appealing to my fellow bisdak, that if you may time to spare and have some words in mind, please do feel free to add it up in the list by posting a comment. So here goes the dozen:
